Heavy Metal Testing
In order to determine the toxicity and net toxic metals sequestered in your body and to determine a baseline to begin detoxification, it is necessary to perform the following toxic metal challenge. Analysis of the levels of toxic metals in urine after the administration of a metal detoxification agent is an objective way to evaluate the accumulation of toxic metals. Chronic, low-level exposure to toxic metals can result in significant retention which can be associated with a vast array of adverse health effects and chronic disease.

The challenge involves pre-challenge day preparation, urine sampling before the challenge, IV and oral metal binding medications and finally the 6 hour post challenge urine sample.

Urine toxic analysis is an invaluable tool for the assessment of retention of toxic metals in the body. Toxic metals do not have any useful physiologic function, adversely affect virtually every organ system and disrupt the homeostasis of nutrient elements.
